Hello, I have a painful condition called Cauda Equina Syndrome which was caused by direct damage to the Cauda Equina (or "horses tail" in Latin), where the true spinal cord ends and branches out to serve the lower body. I am in a good deal of pain every day and would love to find someone who might be a lot more understanding and patient than many able bodied men I have met. I love to get out and do something on my "good days", but predicting those ahead of time is impossible, so flexibility is key in having a relationship with me. I'm an easy-going person who does not get upset easily and I'm happy to speak up for myself to let you know if and when there is a challenge I would like to work on with you. Generally, if you are also a good- natured person, we should get along fine. There are more than a few days when while I would enjoy your company at home, relaxing, I will be in pain and will not want to go out. I am secure, not jealous, and would love for you to go do an activity on your own or with friends. You can come back to me later with your stories and I will feel as if I also had a good outing. On the other hand, I am happy to stay with you if you wish to stay home, out in the garden or on the bed, watching a movie or just holding each other. I am always up for a good cuddle and usually more if I am not in agony. I try to smile and laugh, and enjoy a guy who can make fun of a situation or himself. I like to try to see the bright side of things whenever possible, and do best with one who also has a light heart, is quick to forgive or chooses not to notice or point out every little "problem" he find in the world. I love gardening and spending time with my dogs. I grow my own fruit trees and a large vegetable garden. I enjoy living in my home in the redwoods near Santa Cruz, CA and it's proximity to the beach, which I still manage to walk on. I just love it here. I will enjoy hearing from you, so don't be shy.
