Hi, I am David, (AKA "Hobby Hoser" or "hbyhoser")

I am a 39 year old, single (no pets, plants, or live-in girlfriends), guy living and working in the western suburbs of Chicago.

I am... A dedicated optimist, with big smile, and an endless sense of humor… A uninhibited creative person (in an out of bed), who isn't embarrassed to admit he plays with toys (sexual and otherwise),... A passionate professional, who works long hours but loves what he does… An inquisitive sort, who enjoys visiting museums, collecting antiques, exploring new highways, meeting new people, and many other more "varied" pursuits.

I’m looking for a partner either for short-term adventures, or possibly for a long-term "friends with benefits” relationship. I’m looking for someone who can be outgoing and spontaneous. Someone with a creative mind, an optimistic spirit, and a zest for life. I'm looking for someone who will hold my hand and share in life’s adventures and experiences. I am looking for someone who isn't afraid to slide down a banister if the mood strikes them.

I am short, skinny, and kinda funny-looking (but well-endowed, if that’s important to you *wink*) I was born rather “unique” -- including, among other things, severe scoliosis, (curvature of the spine), and a misformed right foot and leg which was amputated just above the knee shortly after birth. I now walk/run/dance the jig with a crutch and artificial leg. Although most of my childhood was spent in and out of hospitals, rest assured I've been "hospital-free" for years. Through it all, I have NEVER thought of myself as handicapped and I have never let my "disabilities" influence my "abilities" or my aspirations. I am totally independent, mobile, and in most respects, normal -- with the exception that I DO get to park (legally) in the handicapped spaces at the mall. I've never regretted my disabilities. They have helped define me, make me who I am -- and I like who I am -- Hopefully you will too!
