Hello, I am a pleasant, cheerful type. Above average intelligence, a good conversationalist, (that does not mean I am a tree-hugger). Was once decribed in a legal proceeding as a " Renaissance man", and after I looked it up...I would say that it is a fitting description. My life has been anything but dull. Unfortunatly I was given the series of Anthrax Vaccinations in the Navy Reserve, and as a result was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus in 2001. Although the lupus took it's toll on me, I still led a fairly active life until Huricane Katrina devastated the area I lived in. I chose to rebuild, (a terrible mistake) and in the difficult years since, my marriage of 28 years has ended in divorce. Now, at the age of 50, I will reinvent my life again. There is good reason to be optimistic. At this time, I have my two girls, age 11 and 12. My son is 26 and out on his own, doing well. Although I am prepared to stay in my present location for the sake of my children, I want very much to relocate to a "nicer environment". Coming from the MS Gulf Coast, almost anywhere in the U.S. would be a huge improvement! The reason I am here, on the Disabled Passions site, is that I hope to find someone to share life with. Many people do not understand the challenges faced by someone with a disabling condition. I know that somewhere out there is the right lady for me. Perhaps you are reading this now!
