Hi, my name is Barb. I'm 54, 5'3", and very queen sized. I have shortish gray hair, and blue/green eyes. I have several problems with my back. I have had spondylolisthesis for many years. I also have severe spinal stenosis that could lead to cauda equina syndrome, a life-threatening condition. And I have a lot of osteophytes, and two bad discs, all in my lumbar spine. Some of the damage is due to the jobs I've had over the last 20 years. I have a lot of pain when I'm on my feet, and my balance is shot. On good days, I can furniture walk in the house, but on bad ones, I need one cane in the house, and two canes, or a rolling walker, outside the house. It slows me down, and makes some things harder, but it doesn't stop me. Hey, I can't dance to the beat of a different drummer any more, so I've switched on over to hobbling the road less travelled! I like it here; there's room for two. I am looking for friends, pen-pals or maybe even something more. Romance would be nice, but isn't really my main goal. My situation is a bit unsettled right now. In a year, maybe a little less, I'll be in a better place for romance. I love to read, do crafts, go on day trips, festivals, go swimming, visit thrift shops, gardening, and a lot more. I am trying to live a greener lifestyle. I am not religious, and not open to conversion to any religion. I am very liberal, definitely not a republivangelist. I guess it's just not a good idea for me to talk politics and religion! Anyway, I'm a very nice person. I love to laugh, love to learn and explore. I am hoping I can make a lot of new on-line friends from all over the world. Hope to hear from you!
